Access capital without disrupting your investment strategy. We arrange Lombard facilities allowing you to borrow against investment portfolios including equities, bonds, funds and pre-IPO holdings. Liquidity for property acquisitions, business investments or lifestyle requirements, without liquidating assets.
Unlike property-backed lending, Lombard facilities can typically be implemented within days, with no requirement for external valuations or legal work.
Access to liquidity should not require you to unwind what you have built.

Yes. Portfolio-backed lending, commonly known as a Lombard facility, allows you to access liquidity without selling your investments. The facility is secured against financial assets such as equities, bonds, funds, and in some cases unlisted or pre-IPO shares.
Unlike property-backed lending, Lombard facilities can typically be implemented within days, with no requirement for external valuations or legal work. Structures can be fixed or variable rate, arranged on an overdraft basis, and run on open-ended rolling terms from one week to twelve months.
Common uses include property acquisitions, business investment, reinvestment opportunities and liquidity planning across jurisdictions. Through our private bank relationships, we access more competitive pricing on Lombard facilities than clients would typically obtain directly.
It is important to note that market falls may trigger margin calls, and concentrated portfolios carry additional risk. We discuss these considerations fully as part of the structuring process.
Not always. A number of the private banks and specialist lenders we work with offer what is known as dry lending — financing provided without any requirement to transfer assets under management to the lending institution.
This is a significant differentiator for clients who wish to maintain their existing banking and investment arrangements, or where transferring assets is not practical or desirable. We identify which lenders offer this flexibility and structure facilities accordingly.
For clients with assets held in trusts, foundations or corporate structures, we work with lenders who are experienced in assessing these arrangements rather than requiring assets to be held personally or transferred to a standard account.
