Last month, we were delighted to see that our support of The Sparkle Foundation arrived safely in Malawi — hundreds of smiles in new uniforms.
Over the past year, we have supported Sarah Brook and The Sparkle Foundation as part of our community impact initiative.
The Sparkle Foundation is a grassroots UK-registered charity and international NGO which works with local communities and engages with internationally skilled volunteers to create small-scale sustainable projects which trigger large-scale changes in Malawi.
With a holistic approach to child welfare, The Sparkle Foundation provides education, medical care and nutrition to hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in 10 rural villages near Zomba. Founded by Sarah Brook in 2012, after a near-death experience at age 18, the organisation employs 30 local staff and has over 25 local and more than 100 international volunteers.
We are proud of our partnership with The Sparkle Foundation. This partnership has allowed us to make a difference in the lives of these children by providing essential resources such as uniforms and improving their access to quality education. It has also been an excellent opportunity for the company to demonstrate its commitment towards creating a sustainable world through ethical practices like supporting charities that empower women and children worldwide.
At GSB, we believe strongly in giving back where we can — through charitable collaborations such as this one — so that everyone may benefit from better access to basic needs like education, medicine and nutrition across the globe. We are incredibly proud of being able to help Sarah Brook and her team and to help provide hundreds of smiles and enable lasting change. We look forward to continuing our relationship with this fantastic charity for many years to come.
