Following a successful start to his wealth management career in Guernsey, Channel Islands, in 1994, Laurence moved to Dubai with RBC Global Private Banking, where he was responsible for high-net-worth private client clients in wealth management and multi-jurisdictional estate planning. Laurence is currently Regional Director, EMEA, for a multi-jurisdictional Fiduciary firm and has previously been Head of Fiduciary Services, MENAP, for a major international financial institution in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). In 2004 he was the Founding Chairman of STEP Arabia (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), now an NPIO in the DIFC. In these roles, Laurence has and continues to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of legislative changes and industry trends affecting cross-border wealth management issues.

What was your first job?
My first job was as a fund administrator in Guernsey.

What did you want to be when you were younger?
A rock star or professional athlete. Wealth management prevailed, but I remain physically active and enjoy music.

What is your favourite thing about working for GSB?
Working with a great team passionate about their clients and doing the right thing around strong ethical values, which include a transparent fee-based approach to wealth management.
