Calum is a chartered accountant (ACCA) and brings over 8 years of finance experience, most recently at KPMG where he played a key role in advising clients on strategic debt financings. Prior to working in Debt Advisory at KPMG, Calum had experience working in Valuations and M&A tax, advising across sectors and geographies. Calum has experience across a broad range of debt solutions including infrastructure development; bonds; private placements, asset-backed lending; special situations; and venture debt.
Calum is a Senior Associate of the Global Debt Advisory team at GSB Capital and is primarily responsible for advising on strategic debt financings for clients.

What is your favourite thing about working for GSB?
The best thing about working at GSB is being surrounded by a group of ambitious and enthusiastic people. There is an entrepreneurial culture here that drives people to do their best for our clients and for each other.
What is your favourite country you’ve visited?
Italy, without a doubt… Lake Como, the mysteries of Florence with all the Medici history, Herculaneum and Pompeii! Hiking in the Dolomites is next on my list; hopefully, I can earn myself a lot of pasta.
What was your first job?
Marketing at an open-air cinema in Abu Dhabi, I had to dress up as Sherlock Holmes and try to generate Real Estate leads.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
Having watched Top Gun as a kid, the only answer would be fighter pilot; unfortunately, I am colour-blind, so I have had to forego my dreams.
