The Junior Investment Analyst will provide support to the Investment Analyst to ensure that all dealing requests are dealt with promptly and in line with the company’s dealing policies. In addition to this, they will where necessary support the Investment Analyst with portfolio comparisons for new or existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Placing all trades on the respective provider portals or as paper instructions on behalf of Partners/Senior Partners while ensuring compliance with GSB processes and suitability requirements for the clients.
- Maintain clear records of all trades on the CRM for audit purposes.
- Track all trades to ensure they are completed and update advisers and/or clients on the settlement.
- Provide valuation and statements to the advisers/clients to confirm trades have been executed.
- Building and maintaining GSB’s model portfolios, and client portfolios in FE Analytics to aid in analysis and tracking of portfolio performance.
- Review portfolios quarterly to check if minimum cash balances are maintained for fees.
- Keep up to date with market developments and areas that can affect the markets, e.g. movements in the economies of relevant countries.
- Monitoring the financial news via various media sources.
- Liaise with the team to ensure the integrated delivery of solutions for the client.
- Foster collaboration between all support team members, fellow partners, and other divisions of GSB Group.
- Ensuring work undertaken complies with all regulatory, compliance, and administrative requirements.
- Progressing in line with the appropriate career path, including taking the relevant CISI qualifications.
Experience & Skills:
- Experience working within a regulated financial services environment with at least 1 year experience is mandatory
- Experience working under DFSA (UAE) preferred.
- Basic knowledge of financial markets and asset allocation is mandatory.
- Experience in managing risk, compliance, and administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
- The ability to work confidentially and collaboratively.
- High level of attention to detail, proactivity, and time management
- Commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards concerning compliance and the core values of GSB.
Organisational Knowledge:
- GSB business systems and operations (e.g., IT, People & Culture, database reporting, administration procedures and CRM)
- GSB structure and internal and external stakeholders.
